Ms. Susan Jacob has completed her Bachelor of Technology (Civil Engineering) in 2008 from ‘SCMS School of Engineering and Technology’, Ernakulam. She has worked as a Design Engineer for ‘Structural and Foundation Engineers India’, Kochi till 2009. Later she pursued her master’s degree in Structural Engineering from ‘Mar Athanasius College of Engineering’, Kothamangalam. After the completion of her master’s degree in 2011, she has been employed as an Assistant Professor by prestigious self financing engineering colleges, namely ‘SCMS School of Engineering and Technology’, Ernakulam and ‘Sree Narayana Gurukulam College of Engineering’, Ernakulam before joining FISAT in 2014.She has published a paper in ‘Journal of Structural Engineering’ on ‘Probabilistic Analysis of Creep of Cement Paste at Nanogranular Level’ during her thesis at SERC, Chennai. The main objective of this research was to study the creep of concrete at the nanostructure level and to model the deflections due to creep in a reinforced concrete beam. She has experience handling various engineering subjects including Strength of Materials, Water Resources Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Environmental Geo-Techniques and Basic Civil Engineering. She is also well versed in engineering software like ANSYS, STAAD.Pro, SAP 2000, ETABS, SAFE, AutoCAD, STRAP, NISA, and Primavera SureTrak.
