MoU with University of Malaysia Al-Sultan Abdullah Pahang, Malaysia

A  Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) is signed between Federal Institute of Science and Technology, Angamaly and University of Malaysia Al-Sultan Abdullah, Pahang, Malaysia to encourage the following activities, in particular, to promote international academic and research cooperation in the areas of organization of joint symposia, online courses to students, Research collaboration in terms of joint grant application, and mutual involvement of human and technical resources, Institutional exchanges between students and staff from each partner institution. The staff members from the department of Civil Engineering, FISAT, Dr. Jiji Antony (HOD), Dr. Kavitha P E (Assoc. Prof.), Mr. Pauly P K(Technical Staff) visited the university at Pahang on 7/12/2023 and 8/12/2023 for the exchange of MoU, to experience the research and laboratory facilities available and to have a technical discussion on the possible areas of collaboration.

The team from FISAT also visited the lab facilities of the university. The civil engineering related UG/PG labs and the central lab facilities were visited. The Civil Engineering labs such as geotechnical lab, transportation Engg. Lab, Geology labs were visited. UG lab experiments were done as per ASTM standards and are similar to the tests conducted here. Also visited centralised lab facilities particularly for PG and research scholars and experienced the latest facilities such as advanced material testing facilities -SEM, Xray diffraction etc, vacuum storage and testing of chemicals, advanced computerised testing facilities etc.

They also had a meeting with Indian students/research scholars and staff members. A detailed discussion about possible area collaboration was done and it is recommended to take forward the association activities related to sustainability in association with IGBC chapter of FISAT.


MoU with Furniture & Fittings Skill Council (FFSC)

Federal Institute of Science and Technology has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Furniture & Fittings Skill Council (FFSC), a Non-Profit organization formed under the aegis of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) with CII & NSDC as the promoting organization, on 10 July 2023. Department of Civil Engineering took the initiative to sign this MoU with FFSC, to collaborate and contribute to activities like training infrastructure, project implementation, and career management initiatives.


MoU with L&T EDUTECH

Federal Institute of Science and Technology (FISAT) signed an agreement with L&T EduTech , Kochi to collaborate and offer industry-led application-oriented certification courses. The agreement was signed in the presence of Dr Manoj George (Principal, FISAT), Vinod P Nair (Administrative Officer, FISAT) and heads of departments of various disciplines. L&T EduTech was represented by Sanjeev Sharma (Head, DMN, L&T) and R Jayakumar (Manager, Administration, DMN, L&T).

MoU with Builders Association of India(BAI)

The Department of Civil Engineering signed an MoU with Builders Association of India on 22-03-2023. MoU is  regarding the upskilling, connecting and creation of employment opportunities for students in the construction industry in its broad spectrum. It would also involve conducting training programs, build expos to enhance the image of both parties.

 

 

 

 

 


MOU with Kerala State Remote Sensing and Environmental Centre (KSREC)

The Department of Civil Engineering signed an MoU with Kerala State Remote Sensing and Environmental Centre (KSREC) on 18 December 2018. The MoU was signed by Dr. Reghunatha Menon, Director KSREC and Dr. George Issac, Principal, FISAT in the presence of Mr. Paul Mundadan, Chairman, Dr K SM Panicker, Director, Dr. C Sheela, Vice Principal and Mr. Unni Kartha G, Head of the Department.

This MoU will enable the students and faculty to learn and collaborate in the various activities of KSREC for making meaningful interventions in resolving societal issues and resource management at various levels of governance. This is the first agreement that KSREC has initiated formally in the state.

Under the MoU the department has undertaken the Digital Mookkannoor Project – for mapping the assets of the Mookkannoor Panchayath.

Signature

Signature Resource Hub is a Software Development and Training Institution specialized in APP’s, Portal’s development, and placement training for professional education institutions. A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MoU) is signed between Dept of Computer Applications, Federal Institute of Science and Technology (FISAT),  and Signature on 10th August 2022 and would last for 3 years.

The following are the general objectives proposed under this Memorandum of Understanding

  1. To provide technical training for final year MCA students

  2. To give industry exposure to students through specialised training programmes.

Pragmatix

This MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MoU) is signed between Dept of Computer Applications, Federal Institute of Science and Technology (FISAT), Angamaly and Pragmatix Learning EduTech Pvt Ltd. Cochin  on 8th June 2017 and would last until terminated by mutual consent. 

The following are the general objectives proposed under this Memorandum of Understanding

  1. To provide aptitude/technical/soft skill training for final year MCA students

  2. To give industry exposure to students through specialized training programmes.

  3. To conduct seminars/workshops on emerging areas.

Opentrends

Opentrends is a Software Engineering company, based in Barcelona and focused on custom development of specialized APP’s and Portals, using Latest Software technologies and one of its division is working at Infopark, Thrissur Campus, Koratty, Kerala. Hence both FISAT Angamaly and Opentrends Technologies Pvt Ltd enter into this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 21.11.2017 with more specific terms of reference explained in the succeeding paragraphs till one year.

The following are the general objectives proposed under this Memorandum of Understanding

  1. To conduct Campus Connect-Scholar Internship Programme- by Opentrends Technologies Pvt Ltd.

  2. To absorb students who qualify Scholar Internship Programme by Opentrends Technologies Pvt Ltd.

  3. To give industry exposure to students through Campus Connect programmes.

  1. To initiate and to carry on collaborative research projects.

  2. To conduct seminars/workshops on emerging areas.

  3. To suggest changes in the syllabus content of courses offered.

MoU

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the FISAT through Department of Science & Humanities and  Renewable Energy Industrial Co-operative Society, Kerala, India on 4th August 2023.

Mr. Shimith P R (Chairman, FISAT) and Mr. Binu P. Kurian (President, REPCOS) signed the MoU.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Department of Science & Humanities and Kerala Mathematical Association (KMA) on 31st January 2018.

Mr. Paul Mundadan (Chairman, FISAT) and Dr. T.Thrivikraman (President, KMA) signed the MoU. On this occasion FISAT honoured Dr. T.Thrivikraman for his contributions in the field of Mathematics.

Department of Electronics & Instrumentation signed Memorandum of Understanding with two industries on 5th& 6th of February 2020.Through this Students of Electronics & Instrumentation, FISAT can undergo internships and do their projects in these companies. MoUs

MoU with CAD Centre

Aiming at improving add on skills from employability perspective , Department of EEE, FISAT signed an MoU with CAD Centre, MG Road, Cochin.The MoU was signed up on 8th April 2022. A certificate course on Electrical CAD- REVIT MEP for 80 hrs  was arranged for final year students in association with CAD Centre.

MoU with NeST

Department of EEE ,FISAT joined hands with NeST Institute of Fiber Optic Technology Ltd , Kakkanad , Kochi on 28th November 2022 with an objective of ensuring consistent industry support for our budding Engineers.An add on course on 32 bit ARM based microcontrollers was organised in association with NeST Cyber Campus  which imparted hands on training on industry standard 32 bit Microcontrollers and mastery on embedded C programming .

 

MoU with TELK

A Memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, FISAT with Transformers Electrical Kerala Ltd(TELK), Angamaly,  on 15th November 2017. TELK is a pioneer manufacturer of power transformers, instrument transformers, SF6 Gas Circuit Breakers, Shunt and Series Reactors, Isolated Phase Bus Ducts, Tap Changers, etc. TELK gave India its first 400kV Class Transformer, first 315MVA Auto Transformer and Generator Transformer for India’s first 500 MW Thermal unit. An ISO 9001 certified company since 1995, TELK has been a pride of the State of Kerala. Started off as a technical and financial collaboration between Govt. of Kerala and Hitachi of Japan, now it is a joint venture between Govt. of Kerala and NTPC Limited, TELK manufactures Extra High Voltage Power Transformers (upto 315 MVA, 420 kV) and other equipment (CT, PT, Bushings) up to 420 kV class. TELK is an approved high quality supplier to all power utilities in India and many prestigious utilities abroad.

As per the MoU, TELK offer support for FISAT to facilitate undergraduate and postgraduate students of FISAT to do project work in TELK as per the rules prevailing in the company, faculty support from TELK for guiding student projects, impart training programs for students and staff of Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, FISAT on the various aspects of design, manufacturing, testing and installation of High Voltage equipment and give invited talks on the latest developments in design and testing of high voltage equipments by TELK professionals.

FISAT offers support to TELK in the following areas: Impart training and soft skill development programs for staff of TELK, share the knowledge of software tools like MATLAB, Pspice, ETAP and PSCAD for TELK professionals and conduct research projects as and when required by TELK in the area of analysis of test data, fault detection, etc. This gives opportunity for the students and faculty of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, FISAT to facilitate industrial experience with TELK.

  • Hortari Technologies Private Limited

Memorandum of understanding between ‘Hortari Technologies Private Limited’ and Electronics and Communication Department of Federal Institute of Science And Technology’ for partnering to launch the platform ‘Hortari Explorer’ (a service of ‘Hortari Technologies Pvt. Ltd.’) for the period of 15th september 2019 to 15th september 2023.

The general objective of the MoU is to stimulate and facilitate the skill development of college student through the Hortari platform and other services provided by the Hortari,independently or in collaboration with other third parties or with the college itself to nourish and develop the college students during the period they are enrolled in the college. Thus, both the parties mentioned above agree to support each other in their mutual interest within the terms and conditions specified therein.

Hortari is a platform where companies create a milestone-based career track for their future talent requirements. Students can complete these milestones and get noticed by companies. Colleges and institutions can fast track the career growth of their students with direct feedback from leading companies and performance coaches assigned by Hortari.

  • Keltron

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), initiated by the ECE Department,was signed on 6th October 2015 between KELTRON and FISAT. Through this MoU, KELTRON will provide the following support to FISAT.

  1. Impart Training and skill development for students and staff.
  2. Impart internship for selected PG students on live projects based on interview and availability of the projects at KELTRON.
  3. Association on joint consultancy works.
  4. Faculty support from KELTRON on specific topics in the syllabus.
  5. Impart training for FISAT staff on latest technologies available at KELTRON
  6. Impart long term training for FISAT to enhance employability without affecting FISAT regular class timings.
  • MoU with luure.ai

The Electronics & Communication Engineering department, FISAT, has made a memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Luure.ai on 1st  day of July, 2020. Luure.ai is an LLP company incorporated under Govt of India and having Corporate Offices at 5th floor Amstor building, Technopark,Trivandrum. Luure.ai is actively engaged in providing Artificial Intelligence based solutions.

Luure.ai supports FISAT in the  following areas:

Module-1: Impart training and skill development programs for students and staff.
