International Visits by Students and Faculty 

The Fisat Business School organized an enriching International Industrial Visit (IV) to Malaysia for the S4 MBA 2021- 2023 Batch from March 28 to March 31, 2023. The trip provided students and accompanying staff members with invaluable exposure  to international business practices and cultural experiences. Participants had the opportunity to  witness firsthand the dynamics of the Malaysian business landscape and engage in insightful  interactions with industry professionals. The trip included visits to several places of prominence in Malaysia, with the highlight being the tour  of the Royal Selangor Pewter factory. The Royal Selangor Pewter factory visit was a remarkable  experience, allowing students to witness the craftsmanship and artistry that goes into creating  intricate pewter products. Students observed the various stages of pewter production, from casting  to engraving, and gained insights into the company’s commitment to quality and tradition.


FISAT wins Xplore 2023-education competition organized by German Multinational -Phoenix Contact

The team from the Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering Department of Federal Institute of Science & Technology (FISAT), Angamaly, Kochi, won the Xplore Technology Award 2023 held in Germany in October 23,  in the  category “Smart Technology” for a sustainable world for their project “Water management at home for a sustainable world using IoT.” The project was developed by a team of students led by Aaron Sabu Joseph, Aakash Shaji, Amala Joy, Allen Simon Antony, Clinto Jose, Aravind Surendran . Lakshmi Nandakumar and Dr. Abi P Mathew were their mentors.

The team won the Xplore Technology Award 2023 by competing against 700 other teams from around the world. The award ceremony was held at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action in Berlin on October 20, 2023, which coincided with Phoenix Contact’s 100th anniversary. The winners were honored by Minister Michael Kellner, Parliamentary State Secretary.

 

Dr. Jiji Antony, Dr. Kavitha P E and Mr. Pauly visited the Universiti Malaysia Pahang in Dec 2023.


Memorandum of Understanding 

FISAT has signed an MoU with Universiti Malaysia PAHANG AL-SULTAN ABDULLAH in Dec 2023 to promote friendship and cooperation, mutual understanding, academic, cultural and scientific thought and personnel exchange.

Federal Institute of Science and Technology (FISAT) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Malaysia to promote friendship and cooperation, mutual understanding, academic, cultural and scientific thought and personnel exchange in May 2023.


Visit by International Experts

A expert talk on “Navigating the future of Sustainable Built Environment” was conducted by Mr. Hariram N P, Research Scholar, UMPSA Malaysia Pahang in FISAT on 29.1.2024
