Dr. Archana R
Professor & HoD

Dr. Archana R received B.Tech degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from RIT (Government Engineering College), Kottayam in the year 1997 and M.Tech degree in Instrumentation and Control from National Institute of Technology Calicut (NITC) in 2008. She received Ph.D from  Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) in the year 2016  under the Guidance of Dr. R Gopikakumari and Dr. A Unnikrishnan. Her research is  in the topic “Modelling and Analysis of Chaotic Systems in Nature”. She has been teaching under-graduate and graduate courses since the year 1997. Dr.Archana R is recognized as a Ph.D Research Supervisor by Kerala Technological University (KTU), Kerala and is guiding one Ph.D research scholar. She is a reviewer of some International Journals and was session chair for some reputed international conferences. 

Dr. Archana R joined as a faculty in the Electrical & Electronics Engineering Department, Federal Institute of Science and Technology, Angamaly, Kerala, India in the year 2002 and continues there till date. In addition to the academic works she has been the staff in charge- Arts club FISAT from 2008-2018 and was instrumental in the coordination of inter and intra collegiate arts festivals “Bharatham” and “Arangu” during her tenure. She had received the Best Teacher Award FISAT in the year 2010. She has authored around 20 national and international journal and conference papers and some of them received best paper awards. Her areas of interest are nonlinear dynamics, System Modelling, Chaotic System Theory, Soft Computing Techniques, Electrical Machines etc
