Dr. Arun Gopi is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry in the Department of Science and Humanities at the Federal Institute of Science and Technology (FISAT), Angamaly, Kerala. He obtained his Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences from the CSIRāNational Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (CSIRāNIIST), Thiruvananthapuram, through the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), India. His distinguished academic achievements include qualifying CSIR-NET/JRF, securing a 97.2 percentile in GATE Chemistry (2012), and qualifying the BARC Scientific Officer Examination (2012). He earned his M.Sc. in Chemistry from St. Albertās College, Ernakulam, and his B.Sc. in Chemistry from St. Peterās College, Kolenchery. A recipient of the prestigious CSIR-UGC Junior and Senior Research Fellowships (2012ā2017), Dr. Gopi has over six years of research experience in the synthesis and characterization of advanced nanomaterials, including quantum dots, metal nanoparticles, nanorods, nanowires, and two-dimensional superstructures, along with extensive expertise in modern analytical and spectroscopic techniques. He also possesses more than seven years of teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and has published numerous research articles in reputed international peer-reviewed journals. In addition, he has been included in the Kerala Public Service Commission (PSC) merit and supplementary lists for several M.Sc.- and Ph.D.-level chemistry examinations. Dr. Gopi is also a motivational speaker and a sought-after resource person at various colleges across Kerala, where he delivers lectures and coaching programmes for CSIR-NET/JRF Chemical Sciences under UGC-supported initiatives.
