Profile

Jinesh Vinayachandran is an automotive technology professional, technical trainer, consultant, and academic mentor with extensive experience in electric vehicle technology, high-voltage safety, fleet operations, hydrogen fuel systems, and workforce capability development. With over a decade of professional experience spanning academia, industry training, consulting, and electric mobility operations, he has developed a distinctive profile at the intersection of engineering education and the rapidly evolving automotive industry.

Jinesh currently serves as Assistant Manager – Training/Senior Trainer at Eveytrans Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad, the largest e-bus fleet operator in the country, where he leads training and capability-development initiatives for electric bus fleet operations across more than 90 depots and service locations nationwide. His role involves developing and implementing technical learning programmes for over 2,500 service and operational personnel, with a focus on electric vehicle systems, high-voltage safety, diagnostics, charging systems, preventive maintenance, and fleet operational readiness. He also contributes to the development of training centres, practical learning infrastructure, technical manuals, standard operating procedures, troubleshooting guides, assessments, and digital learning resources.

Prior to this, Jinesh served as Technical Trainer & Consultant at Devise Electronics, Pune, from August 2022 to April 2026. During this period, he worked extensively with leading automotive OEMs and industry organisations, delivering specialised programmes in EV technology, high-voltage safety, hydrogen fuel systems, product development, testing and homologation, manufacturing, diagnostics, and service. His professional engagements have included Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Volvo-Eicher Commercial Vehicles (VECV), Royal Enfield, Montra TIVOLT, and Maruti Suzuki India, among others. He has delivered more than 100 training programmes covering diverse functions such as R&D, production, quality, supply chain, sales, and after-sales service.

His technical expertise encompasses advanced EV systems, high-voltage battery systems, EV standards and compliance, battery testing and certification, hydrogen internal combustion engine and fuel-cell technologies, diagnostics and repair, charging infrastructure, and industrial workforce development. He has particular experience in developing training programmes aligned with standards and safety frameworks including AIS 156, ISO 6469, AIS 038, AIS 039, AIS 040, AIS 048, and DGUV 209-093.

Jinesh has also made significant contributions to industry–academia collaboration and skill development. He was involved in the development of an IIT–ITI technician development programme for electric vehicles in Kerala in collaboration with IIT Palakkad and has collaborated with the Centre of Excellence for Zero Emission Trucking (CoEZET), IIT Madras, on safety manuals and training resources for battery-electric truck operation and maintenance. His contributions further include establishing an EV Training Centre in Kochi, supporting the development of a regional EV training centre for Montra Electric, and facilitating the establishment of an EV fast-charging facility under an educational organisation in Kerala.

Before entering the corporate sector, Jinesh served as an Assistant Professor at Amal Jyothi College of Engineering, Kerala, from January 2014 to July 2018. During his academic career, he taught automotive engineering courses, managed laboratory facilities, and facilitated industry–academia collaborations aimed at aligning engineering education with industry requirements. He subsequently worked as a Freelance Technical Expert and Academic Mentor, undertaking curriculum development, technical training, faculty development, recruitment support, and workforce-development initiatives.

Jinesh holds a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, a Bachelor’s Degree in Automobile Engineering, and a Diploma in Automobile Engineering. He is also certified as an EV Technical Trainer by the Automotive Skill Development Council (ASDC), India, a Certified EV Technical Trainer by NPTC Group, UK, and holds an Automotive High Voltage Safety Certification from TÜV SÜD.

Through his combined experience in automotive engineering, electric mobility, technical education, high-voltage safety, fleet operations, and workforce development, Jinesh Vinayachandran continues to contribute to building industry-ready technical capabilities and supporting India’s transition towards sustainable and electric mobility.

Industry- Academia Contributions
● Catalyst for the development of India’s first IIT-ITI technician development program for EVs in Kerala State with IIT Palakkad.
● Collaborated with IIT Madras CoEZET to develop safety manuals for battery electric truck service and maintenance.
