Profile

 

Ms Neeraja Nair completed her BTech in Civil Engineering from College of Engineering(CET), Trivandrum in 2011. She obtained her Masters in Structural Engineering from National Institute of Technology(NITK), Surathkal in 2014. She has worked at IES College of Architecture from August to December 2014 as Assistant Professor and joined FISAT as Assistant Professor in January 2015.

Ms. Neeraja holds lifetime membership in ICI and ISTE, Indian Society for Earthquake Technology(ISET) and is a Member of American Society of Civil Engineers(ASCE). She is currently serving as Faculty advisor to the ASCE Student Chapter FISAT. She is also a Member of the TC-21 Transdisciplinary Approach to Building Societal Resilience of ACECC (The Asian Civil Engineering Coordinating Council).

She has completed a 2 months Summer Faculty Research Internship at IIT Delhi in 2020(Online). She hasĀ  attended an online course Seismic Analysis of Structures using OpenSees conducted by University of Palermo. She has attended World Conference on Earthquake Engineering (WCEE 2024) Italy and International Symposium on Collaborative Informatics (ISCI 2025) Japan.

Her areas of interest include Earthquake Engineering, Structural Dynamics, Seismic pounding, Environmental Sustainability and Impact Assessment.

She has handled subjects such as Basics of Civil Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Introduction to Sustainable Engineering, Mechanics of Solids, Civil Engineering Drawing, Construction Technology, Functional Design of Buildings, Advanced Computational Techniques and Optimisation, Environmental Impact Assessment, Climate Change and Sustainability, Prestressed Concrete Structures, Theory of Plates and Shells, Advanced Structural Design and Quantity Survey and Valuation.
