Ms. Sona Mary Louis has been serving as an Assistant Professor (Special Grade) in the Department of Computer Applications at Federal Institute of Science and Technology (FISAT) since August 2019. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University.She holds a Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) and Master of Computer Applications (MCA) from Mahatma Gandhi University and an M.Phil. in Computer Science from Bharathiar University, awarded in 2019.
With over 11 years of teaching experience, she has also served as a resource person for various training programmes and Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs). She has handled a wide range of courses in Computer Science and Applications, including Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, Data Mining and Warehousing, Android Programming, Linux and Shell Programming, User Interface Design, Programming in C, Data Structures, Object-Oriented Programming with C++, Computer Graphics, Digital System and Logic Design, Computer Organization and Architecture, Microprocessors and Embedded Systems, and Database Management Systems.
Her research interests include Data Science and Deep Learning, with a particular focus on Social Networks. She has published research papers in international journals and conferences. She has organized and participated in several Faculty Development Programmes, training programmes, and academic conferences, contributing to knowledge sharing and continuous professional development. She is an affiliated member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) .
