Mrs. Subha Thomas is an Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at the Federal Institute of Science and Technology (FISAT), with over a decade of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration. She completed her B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Mahatma Gandhi University in 2006 and obtained her M.E. in Applied Electronics from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, in 2014.
She began her academic career as a Lecturer in 2006 and joined FISAT on 10th July 2008, where she has been actively involved in undergraduate teaching, student mentoring, and departmental activities. Her research interests include machine learning, medical image processing, brain tumor classification, deep learning, convolutional neural networks, image segmentation, image watermarking, and steganography.
Currently, she is pursuing her Ph.D. in Machine Learning at Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women, Coimbatore. She has published research articles in reputed international journals and conferences, including World Scientific and IEEE-indexed proceedings. In addition to her academic and research contributions, she has served in various administrative roles such as Treasurer of ECHO, the students’ association of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Department-level Alumni Coordinator, Editor of the department Technical News Letter and Institute-level Criteria 10 Coordinator.
Through her teaching, research, and service, she continues to contribute significantly to the academic growth of students and the overall development of the institution.
