Mrs. Surumi Hassainar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering at the Federal Institute of Science and Technology (FISAT), Angamaly, Kerala. She holds a B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Science and Technology, Kottayam, and an M.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems from Government Engineering College, Thrissur. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT).She began her academic career as a Lecturer at Ilahia College of Engineering and Technology, Muvattupuzha, in 2005. Since 2011, she has been serving at FISAT, where she has been actively involved in teaching, mentoring, and academic administration. With over 20 years of teaching experience, Mrs. Surumi has taught a wide range of undergraduate courses, including Basic Electrical Engineering, Digital Circuits, Switchgear and Protection, Power Generation, Transmission and Protection, Power System Analysis, and Linear Control Systems. At the postgraduate level, she has handled advanced subjects such as Advanced Power System Stability and Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS). Her areas of interest include Power Systems, Power System Stability, FACTS, Smart Grid Technologies, and Electrical Power Engineering. She is also the Staff-in-Charge of the Department Library, contributing to the academic and knowledge resources of the department.
