Centre for Future Skills (CFS) at FISAT
Empowering Innovation Through Experiential Learning
The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India, plays a pivotal role in advancing skill-based education and enhancing employability across sectors. In alignment with this national mission, the Federal Institute of Science and Technology (FISAT), in association with Ethnotech Academy, Bengaluru—an implementing partner of NSDC—has established the
Centre for Future Skills (CFS), a transformative initiative aimed at equipping students with industry-relevant, globally recognized skills alongside their academic education.
The Centre for Future Skills represents a significant step toward bridging the gap between classroom learning and industry expectations. Designed as a technology-enabled, experiential learning ecosystem, CFS provides students with opportunities to gain practical expertise in emerging technologies that are shaping the future workforce. With strong industry collaborations and advanced infrastructure, these labs enable a “learn by doing” approach that fosters innovation, creativity, and problem-solving skills among students.
Industry Partners
The CFS is strengthened by a robust network of industry partners, including global leaders such as Apple, Microsoft, AWS, Autodesk, Intel, IBM, Schneider Electric, and Intel, along with specialized partners like Ansys, Cisco, Unity etc. The Ethnotech Academy conducts training for global certification programs, providing access to industry-standard tools, certified courses, and real-world exposure that enhance the learning experience.
