MCA (Two Year)
- Two year Post graduate programme consisting of four semesters.
- The annual intake is 120.
- The course is approved by AICTE and affiliated to the A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technological University, Kerala.
ELIGIBILITY
- Passed BCA/ Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent Degree OR
Passed B.Sc./ B.Com./ B.A. with Mathematics at 10+2 Level or at Graduation Level (with additional bridge Courses as per the norms of the concerned University).
- Obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying Examination
- Must qualify entrance examination conducted by a competent authority as per the rules and regulations of APJ/AICTE/Govt
Integrated MCA
The Department of Computer Applications at Federal Institute of Science and Technology (FISAT), established in 2006, offers a transformative educational experience. We are pleased to announce the launch of an Integrated Master of Computer Application (MCA) programme, commencing from the next academic year, 2025-2026. This five-year integrated programme combines the best of undergraduate and postgraduate education, offering a comprehensive learning experience that prepares students for the IT industry. This programme has received approval from AICTE and KTU.
By joining this integrated programme at FISAT, students embark on a rewarding career in computer applications, poised to make a significant impact in the ever-evolving tech industry.
The Integrated MCA programme at FISAT offers a comprehensive curriculum, aligned with KTU’s current syllabus, covering foundational concepts in computer science and applications. The course structure consists of Core courses, Elective courses, Lab courses, Mini Projects, Seminar, Comprehensive Viva, Main Projects and Non-credit courses.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Passed 10+2 (SSLC and Plus 2) Examination with Mathematics or Statistics or Accountancy as compulsory subjects. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in the case of candidates belonging to reserved categories) in the qualifying Examination.
Candidates awaiting results of the qualifying examinations are also eligible to apply for admission provided they shall produce the proof of qualification on or before the date of admission by the College
Mode of Selection:
The selection process for the Integrated MCA programme at FISAT’s Department of Computer Applications involves the following criteria:
- Marks obtained in Plus Two or equivalent.
- Additional Weightage to students who opted for Computer Science/Maths at +2 level
- Performance in the department Test/Interview.
- Candidates securing the required cut-off marks will be shortlisted for counselling.
Final selection will be based on academic merit, considered during counselling. Admission confirmation will be subject to verification of documents.
