Dr. Jose Cherian is a Mechanical Engineer who has been working with FISAT for the last 8 years. He has 16 years of teaching experience and 7 years experience in detailed engineering. He has completed his B-Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering from Govt Engineering college Thrissur and M-Tech from Cochin university of science and Technology, Cochin. After the B-Tech programme he joined in M/s KITCO Ltd as a project engineer in the detailed engineering dept. He started his teaching carrier in M/s SCMS Cochin in 2001. He obtained his PhD from Karpagam University Coimbatore. He has been working with FISAT since 2001. His main areas of interest are micromachining and heat transfer. He guided many prestigious student projects which include Nut-mug cracking Machine, portable thermoelectric refrigerator using thermoelectric effect etc.
