Ms. Elza George is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Federal Institute of Science and Technology (FISAT), with over a decade of academic and research experience. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Remote Sensing with specialization in Hyperspectral Image Processing from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. She is an alumna of Model Engineering College (B.Tech) and College of Engineering Trivandrum (M.Tech), two premier engineering institutions in Kerala.
Her research focuses on hyperspectral image compression and reconstruction, deep learning-based spectral–spatial modeling, and advanced signal processing techniques. She has published in reputed journals including IEEE Access, contributing to high-dimensional data optimization and intelligent imaging systems.
She has taught core subjects such as Electromagnetics, Microwave and Antennas, Digital Signal Processing, Microprocessors, and Signals & Systems. She actively contributes to institutional development as Newsletter Faculty-in-Charge, NBA Criteria 4 member, and Website Development Team member at FISAT.She is a Life Member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and has served as reviewer for national and international conferences. Her academic approach integrates research excellence, outcome-based education, and student mentorship.
