Library Rules
Every Student/Staff of the College is eligible for getting membership of the library.
Library can be utilised by the students from 8 am till 7 pm. The circulation counter will be closed one hour before the closing of the library.
Students should mark their Entry /Exit at the entrance, using their ID cards.
Perfect silence should be observed in and around the library.
UG Students can borrow Three subject books and PG Students can borrow Five subject books. Also everyone can borrow one General Reading Book, one Career Book , one CD ROM one Bound Periodical and at a time.
The books borrowed should be returned within 15 days. If not, an overdue charge of Rs.1/- Volume per day will be levied.
Students should produce their ID cards for all transactions in the library.
Books are to be handled carefully. If any book is damaged or lost while in possession, it should either be replaced or its current cost be paid with due fine within 15 days. If replacement is not done within 15 days, the defaulter will be charged 2 times the cost of the book, if the book is in print or 3 times if the book is out of print.
All markings and defacing of the books are strictly forbidden.
Personal belongings and printed materials shall be kept outside the library in the property counter.
Users must ensure the good physical condition of the books at the time of borrowing, they shall be held responsible for damage or mutilation, if any, detected at the time of return, irrespective of whether it was so earlier.
Reference books, Current periodicals and Project reports are issued to the readers for reference inside the library.
All members should return books borrowed from the library before they proceed on a long period of leave and obtain a ‘no due certificate’ from the library.
A book bank scheme, where the members will be issued one standard book in each subject for using an entire semester is provided by the library.
