Admission – Electronics and Communication Engineering
Programme Overview
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) at FISAT offers industry-oriented undergraduate and postgraduate programmes designed to build strong fundamentals in electronics, communication systems, VLSI, and embedded technologies, while fostering innovation, research aptitude, and professional competence.
Programme Duration
- B.Tech (Electronics and Communication Engineering)
Duration: 4 Years (8 Semesters)
- M.Tech (VLSI & Embedded Systems)
Duration: 2 Years (4 Semesters)
Eligibility Criteria
B.Tech – Electronics and Communication Engineering
- Admission is based on KEAM rank / PCM marks, as per the norms prescribed by the Government of Kerala, AICTE, and APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU).
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).
- Minimum aggregate marks in PCM shall be as prescribed by AICTE / State Government / University regulations from time to time.
- For Management quota seats, the cutoff marks may be fixed by the institution in accordance with regulatory body guidelines.
Admission Process
- Government Quota Admissions
Admissions are carried out through KEAM counselling (Centralised Allotment Process – CAP) conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala.
- Management / NRI / OCI / CIWG Quota Admissions
Admissions are offered based on merit and eligibility, strictly following the norms and guidelines issued by AICTE, State Government, and University authorities.
Intake Capacity
- Intake capacity for the programme is as approved by AICTE and the University from time to time.
