The MCA Programme offered by the department is affiliated to the Kerala Technological University and the syllabus of the Programme has been framed by the university. The MCA programme is structured on a credit based system following the semester pattern with continuous evaluation. The duration of the MCA programme of the KTU is two years consisting of four semesters. The Course structure for the MCA programme consists of Core courses, Elective courses, Laboratory courses, Mini Projects, Seminar, Comprehensive Viva, Main Project and Non-credit courses. Also, the students should successfully complete any two MOOC courses from the list published by the University.

The course curriculum is made in such a way that both classroom training and practical training is incorporated in the syllabus, which helps students to gain the required set of skills and technical knowledge to become an efficient professional in the IT world.
