NCC – COMBINED ANNUAL TRAINING CAMP

Session on Communicable and Non-communicable Diseases, and Sexual and Reproductive Health Conducted for NCC Cadets in CATC Camp by Dr. Anuroop Joseph P, Medical Officer at PHC Mookkannoor, in FISAT Auditorium on 26th May 2023

As part of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC), a comprehensive session on communicable and non-communicable diseases, as well as sexual and reproductive health, was organized for NCC cadets. The session was conducted by Dr. Anuroop Joseph P, a medical officer at PHC Mookkannoor, in the auditorium of FISAT (Federal Institute of Science and Technology) on 26th May 2023.

Understanding the significance of health awareness among youth, especially in relation to communicable and non-communicable diseases, as well as sexual and reproductive health, FISAT included a session by a medical professional as part of the CATC camp. The aim was to educate NCC cadets on these critical topics and equip them with knowledge to make informed decisions regarding their health.

Dr. Anuroop Joseph P, a highly experienced medical officer at PHC Mookkannoor, conducted the session, providing valuable insights and guidance to the cadets.

The session encouraged active participation from the NCC cadets, allowing them to ask questions and clarify doubts. Dr. Anuroop fostered an inclusive and supportive environment, ensuring that the cadets felt comfortable discussing sensitive topics related to health and well-being.

The session provided NCC cadets with essential knowledge and insights into communicable and non-communicable diseases, as well as sexual and reproductive health. The information shared by Dr. Anuroop empowered the cadets to make informed decisions regarding their health, adopt healthy practices, and seek appropriate medical advice when required.

 

Cyber Security Session Conducted for NCC Cadets by FISAT Alumni, Sreehari, IT Expert, as part of CATC Camp on 27th May 2023

As part of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC), a valuable session on Cyber Security was organized for NCC cadets. The session was conducted by FISAT (Federal  Institute of Science and Technology) alumnus and IT expert, Sreehari, on 27th May 2023. In today’s digital age, cyber security plays a vital role in safeguarding sensitive information and protecting individuals and organizations from cyber threats. Recognizing the importance of cyber security awareness among the youth, FISAT included a session on this crucial topic as part of the CATC camp.  The Cyber Security session took place on 27th May 2023 at the camp venue. Sreehari, an accomplished IT expert and FISAT alumnus, conducted the session. The aim was to educate NCC cadets about the potential risks in the digital world and equip them with essential knowledge and skills to navigate the online landscape safely.  Maj. Narayanan K S presented a memento to Sreehari as a token of love and respect of NCC. Dr.Prasad J C, Caretaker Officer of FISAT NCC welcomed the gathering.

Successful Blood Donation Camp Organized by NCC Unit at FISAT in Association with IMA Aluva

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) unit at FISAT (Federal Institute of Science and Technology), in collaboration with the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Aluva, recently organized a highly successful blood donation camp on 27-5-2023 as part of CATC camp.   Blood donation plays a vital role in saving lives and meeting the requirements of patients in need. Recognizing the importance of this noble act, the NCC unit at FISAt, in association with IMA Aluva, organized a blood donation camp to encourage voluntary blood donations and create awareness among the youth. he event witnessed a significant turnout, with both NCC cadets and students from FISAt actively participating in the noble cause. Medical professionals and volunteers from IMA Aluva were present throughout the camp to ensure the smooth and safe execution of the donation process. Qualified medical professionals conducted preliminary health screenings, ensuring the eligibility of potential donors. Adequate arrangements were made for donor comfort, including a waiting area and post-donation refreshments. The collaboration between the NCC unit at FISAT and IMA Aluva was crucial to the success of the blood donation camp. The expertise and guidance provided by the medical professionals from IMA Aluva ensured the adherence to proper medical protocols and safety measures during the donation process. Their presence and support greatly reassured donors and contributed to the overall success of the event. The event also served as an opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of regular blood donation and dispel myths and misconceptions associated with it. The NCC unit and FISAt deserve commendation for their proactive efforts in organizing such a meaningful event, and the collaboration with IMA Aluva added credibility and expertise to the camp. It is hoped that such initiatives continue to inspire and motivate more individuals to contribute to the cause of blood donation, ultimately saving countless lives in the process.

 

Vol. Vikrant Adhikari,  Commanding Officer 22 K Bn Presented  Memento to FISAT in Appreciation of NCC CATC Camp Organization

The Commanding Officer of the 22 K Bn (Battalion) presented a memento to FISAT (Federall Institute of Science and Technology) as a token of appreciation for their exceptional organization of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC). The camp was held at the sprawling campus of FISAT and lasted for a period of 10 days from 19th May to 28 May 2023. The Commanding Officer was deeply impressed by the level of planning, organization, and execution demonstrated by the FISAT throughout the camp. During a formal closing ceremony, the Commanding Officer expressed his gratitude and presented a specially crafted memento to the FISAT team. The memento symbolizes the appreciation of the entire 22 K Bn for the outstanding efforts put forth by FISAT in successfully hosting the NCC CATC. The Commanding Officer also delivered a speech acknowledging the valuable contribution of FISAT in nurturing the future leaders of the nation. The state-of-the-art infrastructure at FISAT provided an ideal setting for the NCC CATC. The campus offered spacious training grounds, well-equipped classrooms, modern accommodation facilities, and a well-maintained parade ground. The availability of advanced technology and resources greatly enhanced the overall training experience for the participating cadets. The collaboration and support extended by FISAt’s faculty, staff, and students were instrumental in the success of the NCC CATC. The management effectively coordinated with the NCC authorities, ensuring a seamless execution of the camp activities. The dedication and commitment of FISAt’s team were evident throughout the event, providing a conducive environment for the cadets to learn, grow, and showcase their talents.

 

‘Meri Life’ Marathon by NCC FISAT Unit  on 27th May 2023

FISAT NCC Unit of 22 Kerala Bn of Ernakulam Group  organized a successful marathon event “Meri Life Marathon on 27th May 2023, Saturday from 5:35 to 6:30 am at Angamaly. The event aimed to promote fitness, camaraderie, and a healthy lifestyle among the NCC cadets and the wider community. More than 100 NCC cadets from different colleges and school participated in the even. Major Narayanan inaugurated the Marathon. The event showcased the commitment, dedication, and spirit of the participants and emphasized the importance of and well-being physical fitness. Congratulations, Team NCC.
