The Federal Institute of Science and Technology (FISAT), under the initiative of its Social Outreach Cell from the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, organized TEGSET 2025 on Tuesday, August 12, at St. Joseph’s School, Meloor. The event, themed “Teach • Guide • Transform,” aimed to empower school students through technology and career guidance.
The programme commenced with a workshop titled “Get Started with Arduino and IoT – A Hands-On Experience” for Plus One students, conducted from 9:15 AM to 2:30 PM. The session, facilitated by Mr. Manoj Kumar M and a team of student members from the Social Outreach Cell, introduced participants to the basics of electronics and IoT through practical activities.
In the afternoon, a talk session on “Insights into Career Opportunities and Skill Pathways” was held from 2:45 PM to 3:45 PM for Plus Two students. The session was led by Dr. Bejoy Varghese, HoD of the ECE Department and Placement Officer at FISAT. Teachers Ms. Minu Kuriakose and Ms. Jeslin P JO, along with Benny T.O., PTA President of the school, and Jancy Poulose, Ward Member, attended the event.
The programme concluded with a valedictory function, during which certificates were awarded to the best-performing students in the workshop by Mr. Shimit P R, Chairman of FISAT, in recognition of their enthusiasm and participation.
TEGSET 2025 successfully fulfilled its goal of inspiring and guiding young minds towards a future in technology.
