The students of the Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (EIE), FISAT, have brought laurels to the institution by emerging as Finalists at the prestigious International Rover Challenge (IRC) 2026. The International Rover Challenge is a worldwide competition that necessitates teams to design, build, and implement sophisticated rover systems capable of executing mission-specific tasks under simulated interplanetary environments. The FISAT Rover Team exhibited remarkable technical proficiency by designing and constructing a high-performance rover system.
All interdisciplinary tasks—comprising mechanical design, electronics integration, embedded programming, control systems, and testing—were exclusively performed by EIE students of FISAT, demonstrating their robust foundation in robotics, automation, and intelligent systems. This accomplishment underscores FISAT’s dedication to experiential learning, innovation, and success in global competition. The institution commends the team and its mentors for this remarkable achievement.
