Iluminar, the project expo of final year students of Electrical and Electronics Engineering 2022-2026 batch organized by Electra, the students’ association of the department, was held on 26th of March 2026 at DB211 and DB212 ,Federal Institute of Science and Technology. The event was inaugurated by the principal, Dr Jacob Thomas. There was a total of 14 projects and each group was personally evaluated by Ms. Sreevidya P, Dr. Sreevidya P, Assistant Professor, EIE Department, FISAT and Mr. Stany E George, Assistant Professor, EEE Department, FISAT and was given scores depending on various aspects such as innovation social relevance, completion of the project etc. The Edison Award for the best innovative project was given for the project titled ā€œSmart Energy Management System with SCADA Integration and Carbon Emission Assessment.ā€ For the project ā€œHydrapure – Smart Portable Filter Bottle,ā€ the Tesla Award -the best socially relevant project was presented. The Faraday Award for the best completed project was awarded to the project ā€œIntelligent Load Dispatch & AQUASENSE: An IoT-Based Water Metering System with Predictive Analytics.ā€ The project ā€œChargenix: Dynamic Wireless Power Transfer for Electric Vehiclesā€ received the Best Poster Award. The main objective of this exhibition was to provide a platform to unleash the potential of the students by displaying their innovative projects.
