ERUDITE LECTURE ON
AMRIT KAAL VIMARSH: VIKASIT BHARATH
Federal Institute of Science and Technology (FISAT) Angamaly in association with Ministry of Education, & AICTE & hosted the Programme “Amrit Kaal Vimarsh,” an activity aimed at achieving the goal of “Viksit Bharat@2047”. The event took place on 23 February at the Main Seminar Hall in the FISAT.
Under the guidance and as desired by the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has initiated a series of seminars in selected campuses across the country. These seminars aim to provide a platform for renowned experts who have made remarkable contributions to our nation’s development to share their insights and experiences with the students and faculty members.
Dr Ajith Kumar K, Director of Navel Physical and Oceanographic Laboratory Kochi, a renowned figure in the field of Defence Research and Development, delivered a captivating talk on the role of academia in the defence research and development ecosystem as part of the “Amrit Kaal -Vimarsh” campus dialogue. This initiative aims to inspire students and academics to contribute defence research and development to a development-centred ecosystem. More than 300 participants attended the session, including UG, and PG students, faculty members, and research scholars from various departments of the College. Dr. Jacob Thomas V, Principal, Dr. Mini P R, Vice Principal, Dr. C Sheela, Director of Research and Development, also graced the occasion.
During the inaugural address at the event, Dr. Ajith Kumar K, highlighted that our current generation is going through AmritKal, quite literally the Golden Period. He emphasized that time is the currency of the future and if we administer it beautifully professional quality and innovativeness will adhere to the nation through development. He also stated that one of the main reasons for India’s development as a global financial power is its alternative and sustainable brain resources also the policies in science and technology.
The session was highly interactive with students asking numerous questions. Mr. Dr. Ajith Kumar K suggested the students not take failures as obstacles but rather emphasize taking them as a deep learning experience. He also mentioned that the possibility of machine learning and artificial intelligence would create an opportunity in the field of research. Today’s young generation should be ready to take full advantage of this situation to the well-proven system to a better living to fulfil their research and development dreams.
